Here's a paragraph with no alignment tag. I am taking a series of classes in HTML and web design. This horrible looking page is simply where I'm putting into practice all of the code and lessons from my classes. If you've happened upon it, then please forgive the utter lack of content. Once I finish my classes I plan to change the page and publish a better site. If you've got any feedback, feel free to e-mail me.
This paragraph is in a single set of blockquotes. In this paragraph, I'm experimenting with the use of "blockquote" tags. Blockquotes offer the ability to indent a paragraph equally on either side of the page. As I understand it, there are a whole bunch of web designers out there who use bloquotes and refuse to use the paragraph tags from the first paragraph of this page.
Now I'm experimenting with two sets of blockquote tags to see just how much different the indentation is. I understand that I can continue adding the blockquote tags until I have reached the desired indentation of my text.
Here's a center aligned paragraph. Ok, now I'm going to type a paragraph that is simply set up with the standard paragraph tag and center alignment attribute. I want to see the differnce between a simple center aligned paragraph and the single and double set of blockquotes. This site may end up being a nice refference for me when I'm working on a real page as I can come here to view the various different effects that I can achieve through different HTML tags and formatting. I have to say that I should't have put off learning this stuff so long. It's a blast!
Here are a few text formating functions: bold, italics and of course underlined. Isn't that fun? Whoo, how 'bout bold italic underlined text. Now that's exciting!
Really big
Pretty big
Just big
Not big
Pretty small

Just for the fun of it, here is an example of preformatted text:

There are many ways to encorporate sound into a web page. Displayed here is a MIDI (Musical Intrument Digital Interface) files that can be downloaded and listened to in two different ways. In the first example below, you can download the sound file by clicking on the link. The file is saved to the same directory as this page and it functions much like adding a link to an image. The second example is of an embedded file that downloads automaticaly when this page is viewed. I have left the player for the embedded file visible so that a visitor can choose to play the sound when and if they want to hear it. I've also hidden some sound information in this section through HTML comments, which won't display on this page. You can learn more about how I added soud to this web page by viewing the source code and comments.
Here is a MIDI file for you to download.
Here is the same file for you to play using the visible player!
